Pub. Lentulus P.f. L.n. Spinther, 71 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.06 g, 5 h), Rome. Q•S•C Head of Hercules to right. Rev. P•LENT•P•F - L•N Genius of the Roman People seated facing on curule chair, his right foot set on globe, holding cornucopiae in his right hand and scepter in his left, being crowned by Victory flying left, holding palm in her left hand. Babelon (Cornelia) 58. Crawford 397/1. RBW 1438. Sydenham 791. Rare, attractively toned and unusually well preserved for this difficult issue. A few tiny marks, otherwise, good very fine.
